K20 Cycling Club in Kent

Be inspired!

What we are about...

Our Club is based in Marden, Kent. Formed in 2020 there were just 11 signed up Members when we had our inaugural ride on 29th July that year. By early 2024 we had over 150 members.

We are a Club that puts continuous improvement, social engagement, fellowship, mutual aid and support, local Community, and the joy of cycling at the heart of everything we do.

Our membership is diverse, covering a range of ages and abilities, and from all areas of society. We run seven cycling groups based on differing speed and distance parameters. Our groups ride every Saturday and Wednesday. We also run Sofa to Saddle courses for new or nervous riders on a periodic basis throughout the year.

No matter what your cycling experience or ability, we have something to meet your needs. On top of that our Membership fee is just £20 a year!

One of our primary objectives is to engage with the Marden Community. Our two main sponsors are Scarab, a major employer based in Marden, and Sleek Shutters, another successful company based just a couple of miles outside the village.

We conduct our Committee meetings at the West End Tavern and our post ride coffees (and sometimes cake!) are taken at the Old Post Office Coffee House, who also provide the food for our charity sportive held in the summer.

We support two local, Marden based charities - Dementia Friendly Community Marden, and Marden Scout Group. Since its formation the K20 has raised £5,900 and split that amount between the two.

We may not be the biggest cycling club in Kent, but we do punch well above our weight. We are a Club run for cyclists, by cyclists. Club members have direct access and communication with all Committee members, who also ride out with the groups.

The Coffee House has a wide selection of cakes and savouries to suit most tastes.
